The Broken Binding is an online bookshop specialising in Science Fiction and Fantasy. We are a small but growing business, and we are looking for two UK-based people to join the team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview

We are looking to recruit 2 friendly, proactive and detail-orientated Customer Support Representatives to provide support and solutions to our customers around the world. You will be addressing enquiries, resolving issues and ensuring that every customer interaction reflects the quality and care that The Broken Binding strives to achieve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via email
  • Assist customers with order placements, cancellations, returns and exchanges
  • Resolve customer issues with empathy and efficiency
  • Provide product recommendations and information about our book selections
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and enhance the customer experience
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • You must be based in the UK
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively, multitasking and managing your time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in customer services, preferably in a retail setting
  • A passion for books and reading
  • Comfortable working remotely and having a reliable internet connection
